Food Products Hub

This is the Food Products Hub page - grand central for organization of information about food products that work for those with food allergies and intolerances. If you have food allergies or intolerance, you probably know that some of the most common types of foods often contain the most common allergens. But this doesn't mean you can't have great food. There are a number of food producers that have emerged to support the celiac, food allergy, and food intolerant communities. They produce baked goods, snacks, etc. usually in facilities that are specially designed or managed to eliminate cross contamination. Some specialize in gluten, dairy, and/or egg free offerings. If you have information about a great food producer that caters to the food allergy market, add them in the appropriate section, or add a new section!

National Scale Producers

Here is a list of specialized food producers that specialize in making foods that are free of common allergens. These are companies that have taken big steps, like dedicated gluten-free factories or constant batch testing, to ensure that the products they provide are safe for the intended consumer.

Dairy-Free Products

Dairy products and the waste products from producing them are very inexpensive and as a result are used in all kinds of processed foods. Whey powder, casein, milk solids, and various other dairy products can be found in everything from bread, to soup, to mixed nuts.

There are many, many Gluten-Free products. The plan is to add a sub-hub page just for Gluten-free products, but for now, here are some of the best of the gluten-free products. Don't forget to check the Restaurants for gluten-free bakeries and restaurants.

The General Foods page is a sub-hub about non-specialty foods, food labeling, and other information about the so-called normal foods you find in every grocery store and what those with food allergies/intolerances need to know about them.
